MICROCON® CD & PD
Indoor, breathable air that is contaminated by a number of
different pollutants poses a health and respiratory hazard to occupants.
This is especially true if there is exposure to blood-borne pathogens,
lead dust, or bacterial and viral pollutants.
The MICROCON® CD and PD air filtration systems are specifically designed for the removal of airborne pollutants and gaseous contaminants from indoor environments. Either ceiling mounted (CD) or portable (PD), air is drawn through a high efficiency HEPA filter, past germicidal UV lamps before being exhausted through two activated carbon filter cells. Clean air, free of particulate and gaseous odors, is reintroduced to the room.
The MICROCON
CD is a ceiling-mounted air filtration system that is specifically
designed for the removal of both airborne pollutants and gaseous
contaminants from indoor environments. The MICROCON CD can be used on its
own or in conjunction with AirMATION. It is ideal for large office areas,
smoking areas, cooking areas, command centers, 911 centers, training
centers, parts rooms, bunk rooms, turnout gear, evidence rooms, day rooms
and sleeping quarters.
The MICROCON® CD and PD share the same three stage progressive filter system. The first stage is a 1" synthetic pre-filter designed to contain larger size airborne particles thereby extending the life of the HEPA filter. The secondary filter is a hospital-grade, high efficiency HEPA filter capable of removing >99% of airborne particles in the sub-micron range. Since removal of gas phase pollutants require a different capture mechanism a unique activated carbon composite cell is utilized as the last stage which allows for higher adsorbent loading at a lower pressure drop than comparable activated carbon cells. The germicidal UV lamps add another dimension to air purification.
Mounted in a standard 2' x 4' T-bar ceiling channel, air
is drawn through the center grill section, pre-filtered, and final
filtered before being exhausted through two carbon filter cells.
Cleaned air, free of particulate and gaseous pollutants is
reintroduced into the room. Frequent air changes, filtration, dilution and
gas phase contaminant removal will provide a healthier environment for
your employees.
MICROCON® CD-HUV
The Center for
Disease Control (CDC) recognizes and recommends both germicidal UV
irradiation and HEPA filtration as a means to provide air purification in
healthcare environments. The MICROCON CD-HUV (MCDHUV) is a combination of the two, with the addition of two
activated carbon cells for gas phase pollutants and can be used in any
number of office requirements.
The MICROCON CD is also available with both HEPA
filtration and germicidal UV irradiation to eliminate various airborne
pathogens. The MICROCON CD-HUV (MCDHUV) is independent of the ventilation
system, thereby constantly recirculating highly filtered pollutant-free
air throughout the room.
HEPA filters have a minimum efficiency level of 99.97% on
particles >0.3 ppm in diameter and have been shown effective in
reducing Aspergillus spores (1.5 ppm to 6 ppm) to below measurable levels.
UV has shown to be effective in reducing and eliminating microorganisms,
bacteria, fungi, mold related to allergies, cold and flu viruses and most
airborne transmitted disease. Carbon is the recommended component for
reducing and eliminating bio-aerosols, VOC's and other gas phase
pollutants.
Light Commercial PHI Unit
The Light Commercial HVAC-PHI Air Purification System is designed to eliminate sick building syndrome risks by reducing odors, air pollutants, VOCs (chemical odors), smoke, mold, bacteria and viruses. The units are easily mounted into air conditioning and heating systems air ducts where most sick building problems start. When the HVAC system is in operation, the Light Commercial PHI-Cell® creates an Advanced Oxidation Process consisting of Hydro-peroxides, super oxide ions and hydroxide ions. All are friendly oxidizers. By friendly oxidizers, we mean oxidizers that revert back to oxygen and hydrogen after the oxidation of the pollutant. These oxidizers and the UV energy kill microbes in the HVAC unit as well as throughout the room at the source of contamination.
Note: It is recommended these units be installed by a licensed electrician or HVAC professional.
MICROCON® AS
The MICROCON® AS is a HEPA filtered combination air scrubber and negative air machine designed for use during construction and disaster restoration projects. Airborne mold spores and other hazardous airborne debris generated during the remediation process are quickly and reliably controlled. Designed for versatility and portability, it can be utilized as either a negative air machine or air scrubber.
The unit can be set-up to create negative pressure by drawing air from an enclosed space using flexible ducting. This allows contamination to be contained and prevent migration of pollutants outside the pressurized area during the construction process. As an air scrubber, it is portable, compact, lightweight, and maneuverable making it ideal for small volume applications and where space restrictions exist.
The housing is heavy-duty galvanized steel with a baked-on enamel finish, mounted on wheels with durable handles. The blower fan is maintenance-free and the HEPA filter is a high capacity, self-sealing design with an optional activated carbon cell available. Filter change-out is easy and safe. Hazardous filters can be removed safely using a bag-out disposal system. An 8" duct collar is attached to the inlet and outlet face for easy connection to flexible ducting.
MICROCON® 350 & 675
The Microcon® 350 ‘whole home’ HEPA Air Filtration system is easily installed in your home’s HVAC or air handling system to provide 99.97% airborne particulate reduction without impacting air flow, static pressure or unit sizing. This whisper quiet air filtration system is extremely efficient for dust, pet dander, pollen and VOC removal.
Installation requires no costly electrical or mechanical alternations to the HVAC system and the unique design offers HEPA grade filtration with very low power consumption.
The 3-stage filtration cartridge is contained and protected in a durable steel box. In stage-one, a foam pre-filter captures large particulate matter. In the second stage, the HEPA filter traps more of the harmful and irritating particulate like pet dander, pollen and smoke. Finally, in the third stage, the activated carbon adsorbs chemical or gas-based pollutants.
The filters are easy to access and change. Once locked into place, the filter is completely sealed, ensuring that no polluted air escapes from the box. The baked thermostat powder finish on the box itself provides a durable, long-lasting housing that will not off-gas chemicals, providing truly clean air to the surrounding environment.
Though continuous operation is recommended for optimal indoor air quality, this unit does feature an illuminated on/off switch.
There is an optional VOC filter upgrade available for this unit.
